Welcome to Klein Pikkewyn, a little dream that hatched on our coastal adventure!
In 2021, my husband and I embarked on a journey through the beautiful Cape Province with the goal of finding the perfect coastal town to settle down and create a space for visitors to experience a slice of coastal paradise. As an avid deep-sea fisherman with over 40 years of experience, my husband was eager to start offering fishing charters. I wanted to find a property that would not only be our home but also provide a cozy rental space for holiday-goers to enjoy the scenic Cape.
Our search took us across the stunning West Coast and into various Western Cape towns—Pringle Bay, Betty’s Bay, Gansbaai, Stilbaai, Arniston—but none quite felt like home. That all changed the moment we set foot in Struisbaai. It was love at first sight, and we immediately knew this was where we wanted to be.
In February 2024, our dream became reality with the purchase of this property. Klein Pikkewyn is now our home, and we are excited to share it with visitors looking for a peaceful retreat in a charming coastal town. We can’t wait for you to experience Struisbaai’s unique blend of tranquility, beauty, and warm hospitality.

Perfectly suited for up to six guests, our home offers all the essentials for a memorable stay, along with thoughtful touches that make it feel like your own. Whether you’re here to unwind by the beach, explore Struisbaai’s charming town center, or enjoy a sunset braai on the patio, Klein Pikkewyn has everything you need. Just steps from the ocean and a short drive from the southernmost tip of Africa, we invite you to settle in, make memories, and enjoy the best of Struisbaai.
With three cozy bedrooms—a master with a king bed, a second with a queen, and a third with a double bed—there’s room for everyone to feel comfortable and at ease. If two guests prefer not to share a bed, the lounge features a couch that can serve as a single bed, adding extra flexibility. The home also includes two modern bathrooms with convenient shower facilities, making it easy for everyone to refresh after a day at the beach or exploring nearby attractions.

Check-in is at 14:00, allowing you to settle in and relax, while check-out is at 10:00, giving you a leisurely morning to wrap up your stay. When you’re ready to explore, Struisbaai’s beautiful beach is just 800 meters away, and the town center, with its variety of shops and restaurants, is within a 900-meter stroll. For a taste of local charm, visit the nearby Struisbaai Harbour, or take a short drive to Cape Agulhas, the iconic meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, located just 8.5 kilometers away.
